Don’t you just love it when you stumble upon a new clothing line? And to make it even better, every time you wear one of their pieces, someone asks you where you got it from. That’s what’s happening since I bought a few items from […]
I fell in love with this OneOneThree skirt months ago, and finally I own it! I bought it to wear it casual with trainers and t-shirts but the day it arrived I was heading out and I just had to wear it! So, I hauled through my wardrobe to see what would match up and decided on this cold shoulder bodysuit with a cute ruffle right the way around the neckline and wrap up shoes, both from ASOS. To complete the look the other half had surprised me with a pack of ten different style chokers that were from on offer on Groupon and I decided a plain tie design went perfect with the shoes. When I get around to wearing it casually I’ll post a photo.
If you love 50’s inspired fashion, I have found the best place to get some gorgeous, well made pieces into your wardrobe without breaking the bank.
My passion for wiggle dresses came about on a trip to Vegas where I discovered the clothing range Betty Page. I bought my first wiggle dress and wore it to practically every event for a year. It was a classic piece but it set me back more than I would have liked (well more than my other half would have approved of!) but I had my use out of it. I have always tried to get more clothes in the range but you either end up having to add lots of import tax or if you do manage to find something you like on a UK website, the price it through the roof.
So I was ecstatic when a little boutique opened locally and brought the roaring 50’s to South Wales! And it led me to stumble across Lindy Bop and their UK website. They have everything from classic swing dresses through to cute little 50’s inspired shrugs. The sizes have a huge range and it gets better, the average price of a dress is around the £30 mark!
So Christmas time I picked up a few little numbers to add to my collection.
If you fancy anything, you can still catch the sale! What are you waiting for!?! 🙂
So, with London Fashion weekend just around the corner I thought it was a good time to have a look at the fashion trend predictions for this Spring. New York, Milan and Paris have shown us to expect plenty, from vivid colour clashes through to tiaras (yes, […]
It’s September! That means two things – summer is over (what summer!?), and I get to shop for my autumn looks! If you read my last blog you’ll know I was mega impressed with the new Simply Be autumn/winter collection. I could buy one of everything! Sadly I haven’t won the lottery so I have picked out my 5 favourite key pieces that I shall be adding to my wardrobe this season.
Just one thing left now – hurry up pay day!!!
